Good numbers at Ecomondo

The organisers of Ecomondo and Key Energy, events dedicated to the circular economy and energy efficiency held in Rimini over the past few days, were satisfied with the turnout although no detailed numbers were provided.
According to a note released last Friday at the closing of the two events, visitors were over 40% more than last year’s edition, but also 15% more than the pre-covid edition of 2019, which had closed with an attendance of 93,000 operators.
The turnout from abroad was also good, with attendance doubling, the result of the internationalisation policy implemented by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) in recent years. Exhibiting in Rimini this year were 1,400 brands in an area of 130 thousand square metres. To close with the numbers, this year 160 institutional events were held at the Exhibition Centre, organised by the two scientific committees of Ecomondo and Key Energy, chaired respectively by Fabio Fava of the University of Bologna and Gianni Silvestrini director of Kyoto Club Italia. These also included the 11th edition of the Stati Generali of Green Economy, promoted by the National Council for the Green Economy.
