The German chemical industry feels the  repercussions of the difficult macro economic and geopolitical scenario especially concerning the purchasing of materials, difficulty in transports and high costs of energy and raw materials, with an aggravation of the situation during this year.

According to the forecasts of the german association VCI (Verband der chemischen Industrie), in the first semesterthe chemical production, excluding pharamceutics, has suffered a bending of 3%, especially due to the trend of the segment fine and specialty chemical, that has lost the 9%.

The only growing segment  is the one of Polymers with a satisfying +3%.
